He began his journey in traditional martial arts at the age of 4, and has since dedicated himself to mastering the techniques and principles of Shotokan Karate, Kodokan Judo, and Jiu-Jitsu.

In addition to his extensive training, Sensei Steve is also a top-ranked international competitor, having won numerous championships at the state, regional, national, and international levels. His expertise and passion for martial arts make him an exceptional instructor and mentor, and he is dedicated to helping his students succeed and achieve their goals.

Abi is a Junior Instructor at North Peoria Karate Academy and an avid martial arts competitor. With years of training and experience, Abi is a skilled and knowledgeable practitioner who is passionate about sharing her love of martial arts with others.

As a Junior Instructor, Abi is responsible for helping to teach classes, guide students, lead training sessions, and she is committed to helping students succeed and reach their full potential. In addition to her role as an instructor, Abi is also an active competitor, and she has achieved a high level of success, including winning the 2023 USKA World Championships in Kumite (sparring). Her dedication and commitment to martial arts make her an asset to the team at North Peoria Karate Academy.

Junior Instructor

Brea is a Junior Instructor at North Peoria Karate Academy. She has a passion for martial arts that she loves to share with others. Karate is not only a sport for Brea, but a way of life. It teaches her discipline, respect, self-defense, and has given her confidence. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and working with others to improve their skills, and have fun while working hard.

She competes in tournaments at the national and international level, and she has won many awards, including being the 2023 USKA National Champion in Kata (forms). Brea is always eager to learn new things and challenging herself. Karate is her passion, and she hopes to inspire others to join her on this journey.

As a Junior Instructor, Brea assists in teaching classes, mentoring students, and leading training sessions. Brea is a valuable member of the North Peoria Karate Academy team, thanks to her dedication and commitment.
